Updated Time on Field Trip to Confederation Park

The CBE no longer requires parents to fill out a consent form for children to go on a class trip that is walking distance from the school and where walking is the sole method of transportation so long as the students will not be participating in a restricted activity as part of the trip.

 On Thursday December 5th from 12:15 - 2:30, Grade 5/6 students will be walking to Confederation Park. We will be investigating the wind conditions, sky conditions, as well as the existing wetland in the park.

 A letter was sent home earlier this year regarding the walking policy for Cambrian Heights School. Since Confederation Park is within the walking limits, no paperwork needs to be signed. 

Some potential hazards we will need to be aware of are: slips, trips and falls due to slipper and/or icy conditions walking to and from Confederation Park, getting separated from the group, street crossings, and existing medical conditions and/or allergies.

PLEASE SEE THE FOLLOWING NOTICE REGARDING CONFERENCES AND STUDENT WORK SAMPLES. Dear families, We hope you have received the SchoolMessenger that was sent on Tuesday afternoon regarding conference bookings. The Grade 5/6 team of Mr. Kandola, Ms. Halter, and Mrs. Kawohl are looking forward to meeting with you.   Please book a conference time with your child’s “base camp” (homeroom) teacher.
