Quiz on Thursday September 26

We have been learning about Maps in Humanities. Students will have a quiz on Thursday September 26 to show what they have learned. There will be a practice quiz coming home on Tuesday that students can use as a study guide.

 Success Criteria:

  I can identify the title of a map.
  I can name a city.
  I can name a capital city.
  I can identify bodies of water.
  I can use a compass rose to find locations.
  I can identify the relative location of a place (where something is in relation to something else)
  I can label north and south hemispheres, east and west hemispheres, prime meridian, equator, longitude and latitude on a globe.

PLEASE SEE THE FOLLOWING NOTICE REGARDING CONFERENCES AND STUDENT WORK SAMPLES. Dear families, We hope you have received the SchoolMessenger that was sent on Tuesday afternoon regarding conference bookings. The Grade 5/6 team of Mr. Kandola, Ms. Halter, and Mrs. Kawohl are looking forward to meeting with you.   Please book a conference time with your child’s “base camp” (homeroom) teacher.
