Friday Forecast

Next week is a short week. We will only have school on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

There is NO SCHOOL on Thursday February 13 and Friday February 14th, as well as the following Monday February 17th. 

Math: We will continue to work on shape and space by exploring perimeter, area and volume. Students will be creating their own Geometrocity to incorporate most of the elements of the Shape and Space strand of the Math curriculum.

Literacy: We will be putting "SAID TO BED." We will be exploring alternate ways to say "said" when including dialogue in our narrative writing. We will be watching a Pixar Short Film and students will need to create the dialogue for the film, applying the five rules they have learned.

Social Studies: We will be finding and exploring key moments in Canadian history. We have been fortunate enough to be working with a puppet master to give students the opportunity share their learning through dramatic performances.

Science: We will be wrapping up our Sky Science unit by comparing Earth's moon to other moons in our solar system. There will be a unit test on Tuesday February 18th. A study guide will be sent home with students on Wednesday February 12th.
