PUPPET WORKSHOP EVENING:

On Wednesday, March 11, 2020, from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Cambrian Heights School invites you share in a puppet workshop evening where you will learn about puppet theatre and production, while creating and characterizing a puppet with your child! 

To help us get ready for the evening and plan accordingly, we would like to know if your family will be attending.

Week at a Glance:

Monday: We started designing our blueprints for Geometrocity. Students will be creating a city with various 3-D shapes and angles, as well as many other geometry terms!

Tuesday: We are performing our puppet scripts to our classmates and recording these presentations for IRIS. Please look on IRIS for your students presentation by the end of this week. 

Wednesday: We will be finishing up our in class lessons on Evidence and Investigation with Bugs and Bones today! 

Thursday: FIELD TRIP AT YOUTHLINK. Please return forms ASAP.

Friday: We will be constructing the 3-D shapes for our Geometrocity. Stay posted for pictures later on this week!

Orange Shirt Day will be recognized by Cambrian Heights School on Thursday October 3, 2019 Students that are interested can wear orange to show that Every Child Matters. Orange Shirt Day recognizes the harm the residential school system did to children’s sense of self-esteem and wellbeing, and as an affirmation of our commitment to ensure that everyone around us matters. Good afternoon Grade 5/6 students and families! A Message from Mr. Kandola and Ms. Halter: 'Hope you are taking your social distancing seriously like we are.  We know this is a difficult time for everyone but if we stick together, 1-meter apart, we will get through this hard time and persevere! PLEASE SEE THE FOLLOWING NOTICE REGARDING CONFERENCES AND STUDENT WORK SAMPLES. Dear families, We hope you have received the SchoolMessenger that was sent on Tuesday afternoon regarding conference bookings. The Grade 5/6 team of Mr. Kandola, Ms. Halter, and Mrs. Kawohl are looking forward to meeting with you.   Please book a conference time with your child’s “base camp” (homeroom) teacher. If you are not sure who this is, please let us know! You could email us or call the office. Please note the availabilities below: Mrs. Kawohl and Ms. Halter will be available for conference times on Thursday, December 5 between 3:00 and 8:00, and Friday December 6 between 8:00 and 1:00.
