Week 13 Update

Yesterday, we gave the students a nearly impossible word problem to figure out. Many of the students said they went home and shared it with their families. We thought we would include it on here for those of you who who didn't get the opportunity to work it out. According to Albert Einstein, only 98% of the world can solve this problem!

Who Owns the Fish?

There are five houses in a row and in five different colors.

In each house lives a person from a different country.

Each person drinks a certain drink, plays a certain sport, and keeps a certain pet.

No two people drink the same drink, play the same sport, or keep the same pet.

The Brit lives in a red house.
The Swede keeps dogs.
The Dane drinks tea.
The green house is on the left of the white house.
The green house owner drinks coffee.
The person who plays polo breeds birds.
The owner of the yellow house plays hockey.
The man living in the house right in the centre drinks milk.
The Norwegian lives in the first house.
The man who plays baseball lives next to the man who keeps cats.
The man who keeps horses lives next to the one who plays hockey.
The man who plays billiards drinks beer.
The German plays soccer.
The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
The man who plays baseball has a neighbour who drinks water.

Who Owns the Fish

Today was our third learning session with our CTF groups and our students also worked tirelessly to put those finishing touches on our Grade 5/6 learning production.  Make sure you come to our assembly of learning on Wednesday December 4th at 9:00 am. We will be showcasing a sneak peek of our music videos, news reports and reader's theatre. We will be sure to have the full production posted to everyone's IRIS sometime in the next couple of weeks.

We are looking forward to seeing all of your again next week, whether it be at our celebration of learning assembly or conferences on Thursday and Friday. We hope you all have a fantastic weekend everyone!
