Hello Grade 5/6 Families!
Report cards went home today. Please ensure you have reviewed your child's learning progress. The envelopes need to be signed and returned to the school by Thursday January 30th.
Next week in math we will be focusing on multiplication, division, as well as area and perimeter.
In Literacy, students will be engaging in literature circles within their reading groups. They will also begin looking at creating dialogue within their stories.
In Social Studies, students will be looking at various constellations and retelling the stories. They will be investigating Indigenous perspectives and demonstrating an appreciation for their ways of knowing.
In Science, students will be comparing stars in our night sky. They will be learning about the different types of stars, their properties and classifications.
In French, students will be brainstorming vocabulary to use when ordering food in a restaurant. They will be creating a script with a peer to order a meal in French!
