Week 3 Activities =)

Hello Families!  OUTDOOR SCHOOL PARENT MEETING - Wednesday October 9th 6:00 - 7:00 PM in the Gym Here are the highlights of what our curricular focuses were this week. Science Students are embarking on an adventure to convince the city council of Calgary why Fish Creek Park should not be developed into a sub-division. Students will be conducting research over the next couple of months in order to create a multi-media presentation about the importance of the wetlands, why they should be preserved, and how human actions impact wetland ecosystems. This week, we focused on establishing a common definition of what a wetland is within our research groups. We looked at the different kinds of wetlands (marshes, swamps, bogs, fens) and are now looking at the various animals and plant life we would find in these wetlands. Hello Families!  We had a very busy week in Grade 5/6! OUTDOOR SCHOOL PARENT MEETING - Wednesday October 9th 6:00 - 7:00 PM in the Gym Here are the highlights of what our curricular focuses were this week.
